Degenerate or non-degenerate? Averaging G(E) over the thermal window (Datta Sec. 3.4, Fig. 3.6)

The measured conductance is G(E) averaged with the weight −∂f₀/∂E, a pulse about 4kT wide centred on μ₀ (Eq. 3.1). Where μ₀ sits relative to the band edge E_c decides which shortcut works.
